The loss of Stephen Sondheim late last year means that 2022 will be full of tributes, concerts, and celebrations of his life and work. But only Los Angeles’ own Musical Theatre Guild (MTG) will be throwing Mr. Sondheim a birthday bash to remember.

Live, Laugh, Love: A Sondheim Birthday Celebration will honor the legendary theater artist with an array of performances on, what would have been Sondheim’s 92^nd birthday, Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Playwright and screenwriter Duane Poole has crafted a very special original revue that will feature material from virtually every produced Sondheim project from Broadway shows, to television, and films. The chosen songs will find a perfect balance between the familiar classics and the forgotten gems.

The irrepressible Jason Graae will host the evening and the cast will, of course, come from MTG’s talented roster of performers, including a special appearance from former MTG member Teri Ralston from the original casts of Company and A Little Night Music.

This eclectic, once-in-a-lifetime evening will appeal to everyone from the casual theatregoer to the most rabid Sondheim fan. And, if a favorite number is missing from the show, your ticket will also offer entry to a post-show party where the cast will take requests.
