About Eydie

Eydie Alyson starred as Audrey in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS during its awardwinning Off- Broadway run at the Orpheum Theater, directed by the show’s creator, Howard Ashman. She made her Broadway debut in the Lincoln Center revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF as Chava, and performed for over 2 years in LES MISERABLES in the sit-down touring companies of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago. Eydie’s talents have taken her to theaters all over the country such as The Old Globe, Syracuse Stage, Chicago Theatre Building, The Alex Theatre, The Blank Theatre, The Tiffany Theatre, Laguna Playhouse, Surflight Summer Theatre, The Luxor Casino and Hotel, several seasons at Sacramento Music Circus and many other wonderful venues, in diverse roles including Mamie Eisenhower in Michael John LaChuisa’s West coast premiere of FIRST LADY’S SUITE(Original Cast Recording on iTunes). Sister Amnesia(NUNSENSE), Bella (LOST IN YONKERS) Madame Hortense (ZORBA), Alice Miller (MY FAVORITE YEAR), Gertude McFuzz and Mrs. Mayor (SEUSSICAL) Dee Dee (SUDS- the Soap Opera Musical) Miss Leighton (ONCE IN A LIFETIME-LA Drama Critics nom.) FORBIDDEN BROADWAY, Connie Francis et al. (BEEHIVE- the 60’s Musical) and many other great roles. Eydie performs frequently around Los Angeles in cabaret venues, and for worthwhile organizations such as Music For Autism and Project Angel Food with her husband, music director Brad Ellis (yup, he’s the hilariously silent pianist from GLEE! ) as the comedy duo, Ellis ’n Alyson. She’s had the opportunity to lend her talents to many exciting readings and recordings and finds it incredibly rewarding to collaborate and bring new musical theatre projects to life.
