About Brent

Brent grew up in Southern California, graduated from Dartmouth College, trained in New York City and has been a professional actor ever since. Brent traveled the U.S. in the national touring companies of THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Zeller, Captain Von Trapp), JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Peter, Simon the Zealot) and WEST SIDE STORY (Tony), as well as with the original Off-Broadway company of THE MUSICAL OF MUSICALS: THE MUSICAL!, in New York and regionally. In Los Angeles he originated the starring roles of Johnny Blue in SOUTH STREET at Pasadena Playhouse and young Ronald Reagan in A BOOTH AT CHASEN’S at the El Portal North Hollywood; he also appeared in SOUVENIR at Garry Marshall’s Falcon Theatre, in Jason Alexander’s SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE starring Kelli O’Hara, opposite Scott Bakula in NO STRINGS, as Romeo in Tony Plana’s production of ROMEO & JULIET, and in his hero Kevin Costner’s role in THE BODYGUARD. Other favorite roles include Stanley Kowalski in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, Richard Hannay in THE 39 STEPS, Sky Masterson in GUYS & DOLLS, Harold Hill in THE MUSIC MAN, Curly McLain in OKLAHOMA!, Bob Wallace in WHITE CHRISTMAS, Tommy Albright in BRIGADOON and Franklin Shepard in MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG. On TV he has appeared on GENERAL HOSPITAL and COLD CASE, and he played the title roles in the films COLD COLD MAN and CALL ME DAN, an action film about mysterious hijacker Dan “D.B.” Cooper. In his earlier double life, he also worked at the U.S. State Department and at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. He is married with one young son, and has been involved with Musical Theatre Guild since 2011.
