John Sloman appeared on Broadway in the 2000 revival of The Music Man, Big, West Side Story, Whoopee!, The 1940’s Radio Hour, A Christmas Carol, and A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine. Off-Broadway he has worked at Joseph Papp’s Public Theatre, Irish Rep., New York Theatre Workshop, Circle Rep., Manhattan Theatre Club, Roundabout Theatre, The WPA, and The York. Regionally, Mr. Sloman has played roles at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cleveland’s Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre, the Westport Country Playhouse, the MUNY in St. Louis, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and has spent three summers working on new musicals at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center in Connecticut.
Sloman’s television credits include the recurring role of Raymond Geiger (“The Heinz Guy”) on MAD MEN, as well as appearances on BIG LOVE, PARKS AND RECREATION, ELI STONE, GREY’S ANATOMY, PRIVATE PRACTICE, ENTOURAGE, LAS VEGAS, MEDIUM, COLD CASE, CLOSE TO HOME, LAW & ORDER, LAW & ORDER SVU, ED, HOPE & FAITH, as well as SONDHEIM’S PASSION: LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER. John appeared in the film THE UGLY TRUTH and is also featured in the opening number of the movie of THE PRODUCERS.
John’s has appeared in MTG’s A CATERED AFFAIR and A LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA. He’s also sung in several of Bruce Kimmel’s KRITZERLAND shows at Sterling’s at the Federal, and is on the faculty of the American Musical and Dramatic College and Academy.
