Ethel Merman made her stage debut in this musical production, which also turned Ginger Rogers into an overnight star. Classic songs featured in GIRL CRAZY include “Bidin’ My Time,” “Embraceable You,” “Treat Me Rough,” “But Not For Me” and “I Got Rhythm.” The show made Ginger Rogers a star and marked Ethel Merman’s stage debut. Hollywood filmed it three times, perhaps most memorably with Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney.
