Joe grew up about 30 miles north of New York City in the small hamlet of Hawthorne, NY.  Born into an Irish family of musicians and NYC firemen, Joe vacillated between pursuing either of the two careers until getting a break in the 1st National Tour of BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS;
soon followed by his 1st film BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS; and sometime later his Broadway debut in BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE GOES PUBLIC.  Alas, the Whorehouse won out over the Firehouse.  Upon arriving in LA, Joe was cast in the award winning BOUNCERS at the Tiffany Theater, directed by Ron Link, which propelled him into several film and TV appearances, largely due to being championed by Christopher Gorman.  He received an Ovation Award for his performance in THE ANGELS OF LEMNOS and an Ovation nomination for his work in THE WOMAN IN BLACK, both under the direction of Ken Sawyer at the Road Theater.  He toured nationally with Marilu Henner in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN and his other LA theater credits include ANYONE CAN WHISTLE, ANYTHING GOES, and NAPOLI MILIONARIA.  A member of the Musical Theater Guild for over ten years - his credits there include THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, BLOOD BROTHERS, CONNETICUT YANKEE, STREET SCENE,  LI'L ABNER, A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE, MY FAVORITE YEAR, PARADE, FLOYD COLLINS, GRASS HARP, and THE BAKERS WIFE.  Joe also produced and appeared in the feature film "Timeless", which had its debut at the Sundance Film Festival, was released theatrically, and now appears on cable, video and DVD.  His latest film credit is "Inside Out" in which he stars opposite Steven Weber and Eriq LaSalle, and "Medium", "Desperate Housewives", "Numb3rs" and "Criminal Minds" are his most recent TV appearances, as well as numerous commercials.  Joe resides in Silverlake with his lovely wife Linda and their two young sons Hudson and Spencer.
